Job overview:


SEO Account Analysts are key members of our marketing team responsible for executing and optimizing SEO strategies to drive organic growth and improve search engine rankings for our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of SEO best practices, data analysis, and client communication. An SEO Account Analyst will work closely with an average of 5 clients, internal marketing teams, and external partners to ensure effective implementation and continuous improvement of SEO initiatives.


Detailed Responsibilities:


  1. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of SEO best practices and an eagerness to stay up-to-date with industry trends, algorithm updates, and emerging SEO practices, to enhance SEO strategies.

  2. Be knowledgeable and curious about problem solving and  identifying optimization opportunities, and areas for improvement while performing daily tasks and data analysis.

  3. Analyze and monitor website performance using SEO tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, etc., to report on key metrics and successfully communicate those learnings to internal stakeholders in an actionable way.

  4. Regularly analyze and report on the effectiveness of the action items you are working on and compare them to our SEO goals & benchmarking data.

  5. Provide data backed insights in detailed reports that are ready to be delivered to clients and internal teams to improve SEO performance and achieve business objectives.

  6. Collect data on and analyze SEO competitors to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.

  7. Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify relevant and high-traffic keywords that align with clients' business goals and target audience.

  8. Perform on-site technical optimizations and implement SEO best practices, including meta tags, headings, URL structure, and internal linking, to improve search visibility and user experience.

  9. Analyze site structure & design based on Google's new requirements (mobile friendly / accessible, etc.), and backup recommendations with data.

  10. Recommend new SEO optimized content  based on strategy and KW research, and accurately provide what is needed to the content team for them to successfully execute on the content needs of the SEO team. 

  11. Pull data on and recommend updates for older content & add effective calls to action (CTAs) to improve user engagement, based on strategy & keyword research.

  12. Execute off-page SEO strategies, including  link-building and outreach, to increase website authority and organic traffic.

  13. Write outreach templates for link building that matches the strategy & track the success of backlinks in building online authority.

  14. Contribute to the development and improvement of SEO processes and best practices within the team.
